EMDR Intensives
What is an EMDR Intensive?
EMDR intensives condense the therapeutic process into extended, focused sessions, so instead of chipping away at a memory over months, you can move through it in days.
If you've been in therapy before and felt like you kept circling the same thing without ever landing anywhere, or if you have a specific memory or event that's ready to be processed (not managed — processed), an intensive might be exactly what you need. It's a bigger time commitment upfront, but many clients find it's faster, more efficient, and honestly less exhausting than dragging the work out over a longer stretch.
Benefits of an EMDR Intensive
Faster Relief
Instead of spreading the work across months of weekly sessions, you move through the processing in a matter of days
Less life disruption
Rather than re-entering "trauma mode" every week for months, you process the memory and then get to close that chapter instead of it hovering in the background of your everyday life indefinitely.
Tailored to you/Focused Time
Intensives are typically customized to your specific history and goals, rather than following a generic weekly session structure, so the work is designed around what you actually need.
Cost-effective
While the upfront investment is bigger, an intensive often costs less overall than months (or years) of weekly sessions. You're paying for concentrated results, not open-ended time.
