Meet Kimery, lcsw

It’s time to invest in yourself.

I’m a Nashville-based therapist specializing in women’s issues & relationships.

I want you to truly hear this:

Seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a testament to your strength.

At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief you deserve to feel at home with yourself — safe in your own skin, gentle with your own heart, and free to fully enjoy the life you’re living and the woman you’re becoming.

How I work

What therapy feels like with me

With me, you can expect a space that is safe, completely collaborative, and built around your comfort and consent every step of the way. We'll do the real work, but we'll also laugh, because that's part of healing too. You're not just a client here — you're a whole person, and that's exactly how I'll treat you.

Here's something I want you to know: you don't have to perform in this space. No keeping it together, no getting it right, no perfect answers. Therapy with me is a place where you can show up exactly as you are, on your best day, your worst day, and every day in between.

Every session is shaped around you and what you need most. Together, we might explore:

  • How trauma and motherhood impact your nervous system and why you respond the way you do

  • Your emotional patterns without judgment or shame

  • The signals your body is sending and how to start trusting them again

  • Real, practical tools for regulation, connection, self-compassion, and coming back to yourself

No two sessions look the same, and that's intentional. This is your journey! I just make sure you have everything you need to walk it well.

My Values:

Autonomy & Dignity
You're the expert on your own life! I'm just here to help you remember that. You get to lead; I get to walk alongside you.

Curiosity & Collaboration
I ask a lot of questions. Not because I'm nosy (okay, maybe a little), but because I genuinely want to understand your story before I offer any input. We're a team!

Humor

Therapy is serious work, but that doesn't mean we have to be serious all the time. I believe healing has room for laughter, sometimes at the absurdity of a situation, sometimes at ourselves, and sometimes just because you said something genuinely funny and we're both allowed to enjoy that. Humor isn't a deflection from the hard stuff here; it's proof that you can hold pain and joy in the same hand.

Social Justice
Therapy doesn't happen in a vacuum, and neither do I. I believe in naming the systems that shape our struggles because sometimes it's not "you," it's the patriarchy, capitalism, or your in-laws. I'm here to support you and to acknowledge when the world is, in fact, the problem.

Appreciation
I don't take for granted that you showed up, told me hard things, or trusted me with your story. That matters to me and I am actually grateful we get to do this work together.

My background

About Kimery

Hello!

I have spent the last 16 or so years in Nashville, but am originally from Memphis, TN. I was brought to Nashville for college and grad school but have fallen in love with the city and the community that I have built through the years. I am a big believer in living as true to your core values as possible. Some of mine, that I also bring into therapy, include autonomy, dignity, social justice as well as appreciation, collaboration and curiosity with a bit of humor.

When I am not in session I am most likely planning a trip, at my community gym, or spending time with my husband Payton and our two kiddos, Poppy and Wren. I love trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and binge watching reality tv when I have free time.

Your well-being is just as important.
